How much do you charge?
With each job, I will come and discuss the work to be carried out with the customer. If the job is straight forward, I sometimes can give a verbal quote there and then, which is followed up with a detailed written quote for the whole job. Once this price has been agreed, it doesn't change unless there is a change in the specification by mutual agreement.
Do you supply the paint?
I can provide all of the materials required for a decorating project. I generally recommend using the trade paints that I supply, but it's perfectly okay if a customer wants to supply their own and I will quote labour only. I supply colour cards and samples.
What type of paint should I use?
There are a wide variety of different types of paint available, all providing different finishes suitable for different surfaces and different areas inside and outside of the home. I have spent a lot of time researching different paints and brands and use materials that are most suited to your needs.
Do I need to clear the room?
If a full room is being decorated it is always better to try and clear most of the room beforehand. Working around too many items and protecting them can make getting the best possible finish more difficult. If you require assistance in moving items then please let me know in advance.
Can you fill those cracks and holes?
Yes of course. I always undertake the required preperation for each job to ensure your walls look the best they possibly can.
Do you protect my furniture?
Yes, I always use dust sheets to protect all furnishings and floors. I always clean up after myself at the end of each day including using my own vacuum cleaner.
What is dustless sanding?
Dustless sanding is using an electric sander connected to an extraction machine that virtually elimintes all dust. This is especially useful when a lot of filling is required on poor quality walls.
Do I need to be at home while your working?
No. While I'm working for customers they often leave their keys with me safe in the knowledge that their home is secure.
